Hey there,

Most media databases handle email verification one of three ways:

- they don't verify at all

- they verified it months ago

- they run one cheap check and call it a day

All three lead to the same place - bounces in your sent folder.

So this week we worked on exactly this.

## ✅ Waterfall email verification

Before any journalist contact gets to you in Medialyst, it now runs through a verification waterfall. We check, recheck, then check again, every time.

Here's the before/after data since we shipped this change:

- More emails come back verified. (+26pts)

- Fewer catch-alls (-16pts)

## 🚩 Report an issue, we'll fix it in minutes

You can now flag any journalist from inside your list. Wrong email. Wrong title. They moved publications. Whatever's off.

Click the journalist → Report an issue → tell us what's wrong. The report routes straight to the agents maintaining our database — they will re-research the profile and push the fix back if validated, for everyone, in minutes.

## Also shipped this week

- Approval UI improvements. It's now easier to approve or give feedback to Medialyst Agent.

- Smoother email provider reconnects. When your Gmail or Outlook connection loses scope, recovery is now one click instead of disconnect-and-start-over.

- Credit history in the usage dashboard. Every credit grant, spend and your current balance, broken down by source.

- CSV export filter parity. Exports now respect the same filters as the table view. Yes, this was a bug. It is no longer a bug.

- Free tier Changes. Free tier now gets 10 journalist contact unlocks — use it to evaluate our data accuracy or run a mini campaign.

4 weeks ago, media database quality was our biggest daily concern.
